Our volunteer team are a friendly and welcoming bunch,  a view confirmed by many visitors to the museum.

If you would like to get involved, there are plenty of ways to do so,  some of them on-site,  some from home.
Here is a taster of what you could be doing:

• Front of House Team: welcoming visitors to the Museum and helping them get the most of  their visit
• Collections and Conservation team: from cataloguing objects, to monitoring pests!
• Local History Team: assisting people to delve into their past.
• Research Team (on site, or from home) : delving into our archives to find the hidden stories
• Digital team (from home): helping create brilliant online content
• Events team: representing the Museum at annual events which include the Family History Day, Takeover Day for children, and our May Fayre Display
• Exhibitions Team (can be done partially from home): helping research, design and curate temporary exhibitions
• Maintenance Team: keeping the Museum safe and looking at its best
• Learning Team: facilitating school visits and helping families get the most out of the Museum and our events. Also sharing our museum with local history groups and societies in Looe
• Reminiscence Team: visiting care homes and facilitating sessions with older people​
